Peace

Being sick gives you life... what?

Since I came to Caracas i´ve been sick a good 3 times. I never ever get sick but it seems like my body has finally given up and become vulnerable, and it has been a weird experience to say the least. For the most part it hasn´t been the coolest thing but oddly enough after every time I got sick I felt like I enjoyed being healthy more and more. Now, I hope none of you have to get sick to enjoy being healthy.

I will not go into details of my illness but i just wanted to express that I find it very interesting how all i could think about was not being sick and how much i was going to take care of myself, eat right, and what not as soon as I got healthy, and when I finally got cured i got sick again, damn it!

It´s like that expression: ¨you don´t know what you got til it´s gone¨ So basically you can never be thankful enough when you are safe and sound. Even when you sprain a finger you can´t believe the enormous importance of that injury to your everyday life. I guess that what i´m saying is that beyond all my sickness I feel incredibly lucky to be how I currently am, healthwise, back to normal.

We must enjoy being able to enjoy

A musical note: i recently discovered the group Postal Service. They are excelent and I recommend them strongly.

A personal note: I want to congratulate my good friend Francisco and his future wife on their engagement. La mejor de las suertes mi pana!

Peace
